Werner Left The Pitch On Crutches During His Recent Match

During a 4-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk, the former Chelsea player and the prominent footballer TImo Werner got heavily injured and could no longer perform during the match. That was a drastic event for everybody: his team, his coach, the club fans and, of course, the player himself.

The injury

In the recent game between Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, Werner suffered a disastrous leg injury. That is truly a big setback for the German football team that came from the young and talented striker Werner, who underwent an ankle scan and was found to have a torn ligament.

Werner suffered an ankle joint injury during this week’s match against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to RB Leipzig. Unfortunately, though he is already on his way to recovery, it won’t happen overnight. He will have to stay in the hospital for some more time and will be excluded from the upcoming matches of the Tournament due to his ligament damage. It was discovered during today’s scan in Leipzig.

A harmless pass caused him to stumble, but he was still able to walk off the pitch by himself. The scan revealed that Germany, a team that has been named the world champion four times already, will compete without the athlete this year.

The team hopes

In just 20 days, the team is going to participate in a game against their Japanese rivals. Since returning to Leipzig after his nightmare at Chelsea, Werner has scored amazing goals nine times in a row in only fifteen time he appeared on the football pitch. It placed him in a prime position among his teammates. A lot has been awaited from him.

Werner participated in 55 games overall and scored 24 goals. According to a recent press release from the team managers, his former Chelsea teammate Ben Chilwell has also been eliminated from the World Cup. After leaving Stamford Bridge on crutches last night, Chilwell, a left-back for the Blues, will not play in Qatar. But still the team and the coach don’t lose hope and are eager to play in the upcoming match. They have a strong desire to win and lots of enthusiasm.
