Woods Gains 15$ Million Award At The Pga Championship

T. Woods played just nine rounds this year, but still received a $15 million award from the PGA golf organization. PIP honors athletes who show the highest level of involvement in the PGA games and evaluates elements like media coverage on television, in the other media sources, and on webpages and in blogs.

PIP is thought to be crucial to maintaining the PGA’s biggest stars. It attracts golf players with ensured declarations.

The victory

Woods got the prize for a 2nd consecutive time, but this time practicing a little bit more than in 2021. He only participated in 2 games in this year’s contest, as he was still recovering from a car accident the previous year. He participated in three major tournaments this year, and he scored 72 points on his own. Four of the five PIP categories still have Woods in the top spot.

R. McIlroy was placed 2nd in the chart and received a bonus of $12 million, as press reported the info about half a month ago. For third place, Jordan Spieth just barely defeated Justin Thomas. John Ram ($6 million), Spit ($9 million), and Thomas ($7,5 million) finished in fifth place.

S. Scheffler, the winner of the Masters, came in 6th place ($50.5 million). Last year, when there were only 10 players on the schedule, C. Morikawa got the world golf contest in the UK. The bonus pool has now increased to 20 players and doubled to $100 million. He came in at number 11, despite the fact that he did not succeed in 2022.

The rules of PGA Tournament

The final player ranking on the PGA TOUR is based on variables like the level the players spread info about the golf association in the media sources.

Players who receive PIP money are required, as for the Tour Player Reminder, to participate in 15 PIP service events, of which 12 must be promotional events, and to go to specific tournaments that have been agreed upon by the Tour. For those who have been hurt or have other emergency situations, the Commissioner may, in his or her sole discretion, waive the requirement to play.

As they have been on the gaming suspension list for failing to renounce their membership, players signed to Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf were ineligible for the award.
