Victor Wembanyama to Set Foot on the NBA Arena

The best basketball prodigy Europe has ever produced is about to debut in NBA. Currently, Victor Wembanyama, the 18-year-old French player with Congolese roots, is defending the colors of LNB Pro A team Metropolitan 92. The young player is already above and beyond the vast majority of his domestic competition. He desperately needs an upgrade in terms of who he plays against.

The upcoming G League Ignite is very important

The young prodigy will be playing in 2 exhibition games to show off his skill against the best G League Ignite has to offer. He told many interviewers that he is just going through the motions and expects nothing but success for himself. Indeed, with his towering height of 220 centimeters and impressive physique, he is destroying his opponents with ease. Now, he will have to do the same against NBA-caliber players.

Wembanyama is contested by scouts. He will certainly be leaving France in the nearest future. The domestic LNB Pro A league is simply too small for his ambitions. He will surely show much more when playing against the best. All experts with insights into the inner workings of the National Basketball Association predict that Wembanyama will be the first pick in the NBA 2023 draft.

For starters, the French talent will have to outdo his Ignite rival Scoot Henderson who will also compete in the exhibition game to demonstrate that he is worthy of scouts’ attention. 

Tony Parker sees a great future in the young star

The current owner of Metropolitan 92 is an ex-Spurs player Tony Parker. Under his management, the Parisian club acquired coach Vincent Collet who will also manage the national squad. Both say that Victor Wembanyama will have a bright future as one of the best players of all time. Parker noted that he awaits nothing but being the number 1 from his protégé.

The young power-forward is expected to show outstanding results in exhibition games and head straight to NBA during the 2023 draft. Before that, Wembanyama will be able to show off his abilities in international games by playing for the national squad.
