Tyson Fury Figuratively Slams the Table and Says He Walks Away If AJ Won’t Sign the Deal

The bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is one of the most exciting battles in the boxing world with two boxers hoping to create a lot of buzz and PPV sales as well as more money on promotions. However, the deal may actually not happen if Joshua’s legal team won’t allow him to finalize the contract and start preparing for the December fight.

Time is more than just essential

December would be the perfect time to fight. However, both fighters must prepare for it. They are beyond their 30s already and recovery from their previous bouts takes much longer with Anthony Joshua suffering a 12-round defeat from Usyk just a month ago. To be fair completely, Joshua is 2 years younger than Fury who had his last fight in April and won after 11 rounds. The preparation should take at least a couple of months.

Fury thinks that the negotiation is taking way too long and that he and Joshua should have been done with it and hit the gym. However, Anthony parries by saying that he has been delaying the signing because the legal team is still working on the contract. He also said that he wants to have all the details right. The boxer said that he will sign the contract, but the lawyers need a couple more days to finalize everything.

Fury said that he is waiting for a firm answer on Monday. If he does not have it, he will move on and start searching for another bout that could happen before the year’s end. Fury also added that he was certain that everything will happen just three weeks ago, but now his patience is not as rubbery.

Fury chose some pointy words

During his statement, Fury said that he is not against negotiating terms for a long time and finding compromise, but he does not want Joshua to be dictating anything when he is considered an invited “guest at [his] party”. Fury stressed that he needs an opponent for December 3 and that there is a long queue of fighters who will gladly take this opportunity if Joshua won’t reciprocate.
