New Details About The Upcoming World Cycling Championships

Mountainous terrain will be present on the 2023 Tour de France routes for all races, which were unveiled Thursday at the Palais des Congrès. However, sprinters will have fewer opportunities. The three thousand km men’s race spans three weeks and adds phases in several mountain chains. It starts in the Basque Country and ends at the German border. The arrangers have listed a single 22 km time trial with eight “flat” stages, but contestants like M. Cavendish may once again have few options as they fall behind.

The path details

In addition to challenging climbs and the powerful mountain paths, the tour likewise has the Puy de Dome region. It is a twisting tour to the volcano summit that offers a view of Clermont-Ferrand, last used 35 years ago. The racing caravan’s return, long taboo due to environmental concerns, could lead to more debate regarding the contest’s footprint.

The women’s path appears to be more deliberate than the wildly popular race that resumed in July. Starting so far from Paris, it exudes confidence and seems much less constrained by the rules of the competition. Eight parts, reckoning a time trial in Pau, give the women’s peloton more tactical options. The course’s opening was not attended by the current men’s prizewinning person, J. Bingegaard, who hesitated, but said he would support his title.

The contestants

In the 2022 race, the Dane has surpassed two-time champion Tadej Pogacar by achieving two of the most prestigious summit finishes. By finishing at the Four Peaks in July of next year, the man hopes to surpass the Slovenian sprinter once more.

In general, the upcoming contest is highly awaited by the general public and the sportsmen with the new paths. They are waiting for the new road to discover (that is quite exciting with the ride around the volcano peak and along the mountain chains). The former champions will do their best to defend their title, and the new contestants will try to get the prize with all the abilities they have.
