Las Vegas Motorway Car Accident

Joey Logano, formerly well-known for his championship in NASCAR, officially  criticized Bubba Wallace’s acts during the last race at the Las Vegas competition. He stated that the race might have had a fatal ending for Kyle Larson.

Soon after the accident, when Larson pushed Wallace up against the wall in the course of the race, Wallace fled the motorway and crashed into Larson’s car, which spun and crashed. After the driver got out of their vehicles, Wallace shouted at Larson and punched him multiple times.

The Logano speech on the radio

Logano told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Tuesday morning that if anybody finds himself in a situation like this, retaliation is unacceptable. Doglegging into the right rear of the car is by all means not a good idea. It could have ended Kyle Larson’s career. That situation was really life-threatening, as Wallace could have been smashed by the wall at that extreme speed.

The worst thing any driver could do is to hang a right back in the corner. It was possible that he [Larson] would flip over. That would simply end the game. It is extremely unprofessional to use the car as a weapon. Not only that, but these actions can be dangerous for both side of the conflict.

The penalty measures

Larson is convinced that if you want to use any tactics against your opponents in the race, you are allowed to do it. But you should never push them against the wall.  He stated that if the opponent wants to have an advantage over his opponent, it is completely fine. But pushing the rival’s car with your own is just a straight way to kill him. Wallace’s behavior was unacceptable and will be soon punished by the NASCAR committee.

The penalties will be announced soon. Wallace has already made his apologies to the public and his opponent  but it might not be enough. The goal of the upcoming penalties is to prevent such an event in the future.
