Guido Migliozzi Makes His Bid at Ryder Cup!

The impressive showing from the Italian can be interpreted as a bid for the next Ryder Cup considering his outstanding performance during Open de France where he managed to fire 9 birdies during the round-of-the-day 62 which was the only way for him to come back after falling behind by 13 strokes and facing against Rasmus Hojgaard who has been in good shape throughout the whole tournament.

Guido Migliozzi turned tables around

The final day was decisive for the Italian because other competitors were quite aggressive and wanted to get to the top by risking and making attempts that could significantly change the final table. However, only Migliozzi was both lucky and skilled enough to win it all by sending off nine impressive birdies and playing superbly throughout the whole day.

Pieters who has been pressuring the leaders was unfortunate in his campaign thanks to a disappointing shot that threw the ball in water and prevented him from gaining new ground as he was stuck in several holes.

Coetzee was also not as hot as many were anticipating and failed to put on a good show. These poor performances made Migliozzi quite confident and allowed him to play freely and also take a couple of risks. Lucky for him, his shots were on fire and allowed him to edge a victory by eliminating the difference and performing better than anyone else. The chip-in birdie during his last outing of the day was simply impeccable and solidified his leading position.

Migliozzi may indeed end up on the European squad

Players from the EU are not participating in the President’s Cup, but they are the main entertainers during the Ryder Cup that allows EU champions to face off against the US team. However, one must win a couple of trophies throughout the year to be considered as a candidate for the European team. The Ryder Cup is a prestigious competition and usually has only top performers on both sides of the battle.

If Migliozzi wants to end up on the EU squad, he should focus on Scotland and try to show something even more impressive.
