Dundee United Reportedly Appoints Liam Fox as their New Boss

The reports are in that Dundee United, a football club from Scotland has appointed their new boss.

Liam Fox Joins Dundee United

The executives have confirmed that they have appointed Liam Fox as the new manager of their club.  Liam Fox was not the only major announcement the Dundee United officials had planned to make.

The officials also announced the potential second boss of the team. They revealed that they are eyeing Stevie Crawford to be their second top position in coaching.

Introduction to Liam Fox

In the past, Liam Fox had the opportunity of working under Jack Ross. Following the sacking of Jack Ross, Liam Fox had been promoted as the interim manager of the team.

It was back in August of 2022 when the Dundee United executives had appointed Liam Fox as the interim boss of the team. However, the club has decided to promote him as the full-time manager of the team.

Sacking of Jack Ross

Jack Ross was sacked following Dundee United’s devastating defeat at the hands of Celtic. The club faced a huge defeat at the hands of the Celtics when the latter club destroyed them with 0-9 results.

As the club lost badly to Jack Ross, it forced the executives to make a decision about the management of the club. The fans were extremely unhappy and angry at the club’s huge loss.

Therefore, the club executives decided it was time to remove Jack Ross and look for a new manager. Until then, it was decided that Liam Fox would be the interim boss of the club.

Ever since taking charge of the club, Liam Fox has managed three matches for the club. These matches have proven to be in favor of Dundee United.

Therefore, the club has decided to make Liam Fox the manager of the club. With the manager’s input, the club was able to make it to the Premier Sports Cup’s eighth top team.

Liam Fox’s Senior Football Career

Liam Fox started his senior football career back in 2001. The player became part of Heart of Midlothian and stayed at the club until 2004.

During his tenure at Heart of Midlothian, Liam Fox had been loaned out to Crusaders in 2004. At the Crusaders, the midfielder scored 1 goal in 10 appearances.

In the year 2004, Fox moved to Inverness CT and played there until 2006, when he moved to Livingston. At Livingston, Fox played until 2013 before moving to Raith Rovers and playing there until 2015.

Fox’s last year as a player was spent at Hearts of Midlothian.
