Aaron Judge Achieves the American League Home Run Record

The now-legendary batter of the New York Yankees managed to achieve a very impressive milestone in the latest game when he hit the ball and sent it to the outside of the field. The 62nd home run of the season was broadcasted to the whole country. Millions celebrated together with Aaron Judge whose outstanding performance in this season was simply majestic.

Something to remember

While Judge himself said that there was nothing special in his play on that evening, many experts and fans are thinking something different. The previous record holder Roger Maris won’t be able to catch up while Judge still has some time to improve it. In his interview after the match, the batter said he did not feel too many emotions. He added that he needs some time to fully appreciate the greatness of the achievement and to feel it on a different, more emotional level.

It is a significant milestone due to many reasons. The batter managed to tie the record 13 games ago and couldn’t get another home run. The next big milestone is also achievable. Barry Bonds has 73 Major League home runs. This impressive record was secured in 2001 when Bonds played with the Giants from San Francisco.

Aaron Judge must have felt quite good at the moment when he hit the ball. The arena was packed with over 38,800 fans. It was a fully sold-out event with every fan waiting for the record to be broken and it was! The only bitter pill was the fact that the Yankees ultimately lost the second game.

There is still some room for improvement

There is still one more game in the season meaning that Aaron Judge can hit another home run. It is easier said than done. However, we are rooting for this outstanding slugger playing for the Yankees. He is a perfect physical shape and can make it happen. Right now, the player is relaxing with his family. After an emotionally draining celebration, it is a good idea to spend some quality time with close ones to discuss his already established legacy as an HR record holder!
